  I was perusing the store when I stumbled upon the clearance section. I found a couple of wicker bar stools that I thought my girlfriend would like. I sent her a picture by phone, she asked me to put them on hold until I could pick her up and then come back to pay for them in cash. I took the stools to the customer service desk and asked the employee to hold them. The manager heard me ask and then said "we can not hold clearance items." I asked why and she responded " Target does not hold clearance items because its not fair to the other customers." I could not believe my ears, I mean it makes no logical sense, how exactly is it not fair to the other customers? My girlfriend and I would have been back within 25 minutes to pay for them in cash. The manager still would not hold them not even for a minute. I was so frustrated! I knew that if I left by the time we got back they would be gone. I would have paid for them myself but I had let my wallet at home. I know the employees were just doing there jobs, but the policy is absolutely ridiculous! Thanks Target, the stools were gone when we got back! I can not wait to see on the headlines: Target Going Out Of Business! What could I expect out of a company that does not allow the Marine Corps to gather donated toys for needy children during Christmas!
